West Coast Wild Opens Zip-Lines

The West Coast Wild Zip-Lines is officially open and running. Ucluelet resident Louis Roleau said the zipline has been a long time dream of his,“three years in the making.” He described the zip-line as an, “incredible two hour eco-educational adventure, world class attraction, that features six ziplines.”

Orcas Searching For Seals

Big black fins are appearing within the surf lines off local beaches, but surfers and swimmers shouldn’t be concerned: the fins are those of orcas, not sharks.

Derby awards $7000 for fish

Mike Marriott, Todd Jennings, winner of the $7,000 top prize, Paul Grimston, and Brian Clarkson of the Ucluelet Salmon Enhancement Society

Todd Jennings of High Roller charters was presented with a cheque for $7,000 as the first monthly winner in the Ucluelet Salmon Ladder Derby.
