Folks in Vancouver were no doubt doing a few double-takes as Black Rock Oceanfront Resort staff donned wetsuits and carried surfboards around the city as a marketing
strategy. Besides stirring up a lot of fun for Vancouverites, the stunt also
caught the eye of one television station who aired a segment on the noon news. Blackrock’s tactic is an unconventional way of promoting a product with customers often being targeted in unexpected places in order to generate buzz.
